Mathias Sithole is Arnot Opco’s Chief Operations Officer. His career in mining spans nearly three decades. A qualified mining engineer, Sithole has worked in gold mining, base metals, and now coal mining.

Before joining Arnot Opco, Sithole held various positions such as production manager, general manager and mining executive in both conventional and trackless operations. He has also worked as a consultant for many notable corporate entities, specialising in training, negotiations, discipline and motivation.

Sithole holds a BTech mining qualification, a National Higher Diploma in Metal Mining and an MBA. He has also completed the Executive Education Programme at Harvard University.
